Minnesota synagogue vandalized

Minnesota's largest synagogue, Temple Israel, was vandalized Tuesday night, according to the Star Tribune.

All sides of the historic building were spray-painted with purple letters, which Jewish religious leaders say do not immediately appear to be hate-related, according to the Star Tribune.

Senior Rabbi Marcia Zimmerman said security cameras showed only one person, and that the act occurred sometime before midnight, according to MPR.

The graffiti was removed Wednesday, and police are investigating, according to MPR.
