Fiery crash kills 36 people in Nigeria

A crash in southwest Nigeria involving a bus, gasoline tanker, and a truck, killed 36 people Friday, according to the AP.

A bus crashed into a tanker, which had caught on fire after a tire from a truck struck it. The fire spread to a mechanic's shop, killing two children, according to CNN.

Three people from the bus and tanker survived, according to the AP.

Nigeria has one of the world's highest traffic fatality rates, according to data from the World Health Organization, reported the AP.
