Man dies after spending more than an hour in Maple Grove pond

A Brooklyn Park man died after spending more than an hour in a Maple Grove pond Friday, according to the Star Tribune.

Andrew Pitts, 20, was unconscious when authorities pulled him out of a pond near the Shoppes at Arbor Lake. He died at Maple Grove hospital, according to Kare11.

The medical examiner listed Pitt's death as drowning, and authorities are investigating why he went into the pond, according to the Star Tribune.
