About the TExpo

Emerging Technology Education at the University of Minnesota Libraries

The Libraries IT Council and Organization Development organize several events throughout the year to give all Libraries staff a professional development opportunity to explore emerging technologies. The Emerging Technology Expo, or Tech Expo, is our fall event: an opportunity to explore emerging technologies, play with cool gadgets, and learn about the lastest tech initiatives here in the library.

Our spring TechShops, part workshop part technology demonstration, are the next step to the TExpo. In these sessions, staff have a chance to discuss how selected technologies fits into their worklife. The 90 minute TechShops are based on the technologies rated most interesting by staff.
