Breakthrough Saint Paul is looking for a diverse group of talented undergraduate students to teach and lead at an innovative academic summer program for high potential, under-resourced middle school students in Saint Paul. Breakthrough provides paid summer internships, complete with training and classroom teaching experience. Application Deadline is March 1st, 2010.

The Women's Center is looking for 10-15 opinionated bloggers to write for our Feisty Femmes blog about current events, hot topics, women's issues and whatever strikes your fancy. Students who take part in the Washington Center Intern Abroad Program have the opportunity to combine the adventure of a study abroad experience with the practical advantage of interning in an international setting. They'll begin the semester or summer with a ten-day academic seminar in Washington, D.C. before heading to their destination city where they'll complete coursework and a substantive internship.

The Social Justice Film Festival is happening tomorrow, October 24th, from 10am until 5pm in the Tate Physics Building. Twelve different documentaries about an hour in length (four at a time) will be shown with start times of 10 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM followed by discussion led by the office sponsoring the film. Come for one or watch three throughout the day.

U of M Students! Are you interested in volunteering with children? There are many opportunities at Seward Montessori!

Seward Montessori is looking for perceptive volunteers to help students and teachers. Volunteers are needed Mondays and/or Wednesdays starting the week of October 19th . For seven weeks, from 1:45 to 4:30pm, volunteers can assist teachers and tutor students in two after-school classes, become a Chess Coach, or help with Lego Robotics. Some examples of classroom activities are: assisting with homework, small math/reading exercises, and mentoring. Students in these classrooms will be in grades 2-8.
