There is currently an opening on the Regent Candidate Advisory Council for a University student. The RCAC plays a critical role in identifying, recruiting and recommending candidates for open Regent positions. Members of the 24-person Council are appointed by the legislature, with two spots being reserved for students. The current opening is to be filled by the Senate Subcommittee on Committees. The appointment term for students is two years and the Council meets approximately five times each year.
This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in public service and the future of the University. Applications must be submitted to the Secretary of State's Office, and can be found online here. Interested candidates should submit applications by February 12.
