The Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Rigoberta Menchú Tum of Guatemala will present a public lecture ("Healing Communities Torn by Racism and Violence")at Northrup Auditorium on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Student tickets are on sale for $5.50 at the Northrup Ticket Office. Non-student tickets are also available.

This presentation is part of the Midwest PeaceJam program taking place at the University of Minnesota, April 22-25. PeaceJam is a non-profit organization that works with youth around the world and Nobel Peace Prize Laureates to advocate and participate in human rights work and community service projects. The University is partnering with the University YMCA and YOUTHRIVE to host this years events.
