For the eleventh year in a row, University of Minnesota-Twin Cities has placed on the Peace Corps' top 25 list of large universities nationwide producing Peace Corps volunteers. With 63 alumni currently serving as Peace Corps volunteers, University of Minnesota-Twin Cities is at No. 17 in this year's rankings. Since Peace Corps was founded in 1961, 1,310 University of Minnesota-Twin Cities alumni have served in Peace Corps, making it the No. 18 all-time producer of Peace Corps volunteers.
It is a great honor to know that our university contributes a large work force to civil service and to a prestigious organization like the Peace Corps'. At the Office for Student Engagement we are excited to continue our work to help get students engaged. It doesn't matter if you're interested in joining the Peace Corps' or not, our office can help you find ways to get you engaged and work towards bettering our community, the world, and yourself.
