Volunteer Opportunities

PrideAlive is seeking volunteers for their event tonight! Come to MAP, located at 1400 Park Avenue South, between 7:00 pm and 9:00pm in Downtown Minneapolis. in downtown Minneapolis!

Everyone is invited to help distribute welcome bags and resource information to student renters in Marcy Holmes, SE Como and Prospect Park neighborhoods, August 31st - September 1st. This involves a two hour shift on one of these days between 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Volunteers will be paired with City Council members, leaders from the neighborhood associations, or other city or University officials. For more information, please email Tichelle Henderson or call 612-624-1559 as soon as possible. If interested, please include the day, shift and neighborhood preference in your reply.

Women's Initiative for Self Empowerment (WISE) is looking for volunteer mentors to help with career goal development, college application, scholarship application and financial aid application preparation in Girls Getting Ahead in Leadership Program (GGAL). WISE will be holding two open houses to register mentors: one at the Griggs Midway Building, 540 Fairview Avenue North, St. Paul, on September 17th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and one at LEAP High School, 631 Albert St. North, St. Paul, on 9/23 from 2:00 to 4:00.

Volunteers are needed to help with People Serving People's largest fundraiser this year - the Heart & Soul Gala on September 24th. Shifts are available from 9am - 9pm. Volunteers who provide four hours or more of their time will be provided with a meal. Sign up today by emailing kberg@peopleservingpeople.org.
