Study Abroad & Student Leadership

Explore leadership in a new cultural context! There are short-term and semester-long programs with a leadership emphasis. Sites in include Ireland, South Africa, Costa Rica, Rome, and Tanzania. Review the attached brochure and come to the open house to meet the leaders of these programs and students who have participated in the past.
When: Wednesday, September 28. Time: 4 - 5:30. Location: Appleby Hall Welcome Center (1st floor). (PS: free pizza!)


How can you get the most out of your international experience? Join the Business Association of Multicultural Students (BAM) and CIBER for a firsthand look at preparing for an international experience of a lifetime. Time: September 27, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Location: Carlson School, 1-143

Be a part of University of Minnesota history and help out with the Inauguration of the University's 16th President! A surprise greeting line is being organized for Dr. K to span the length of the Washington Avenue Bridge as he walks from his post-inauguration lunch on West Bank to a public reception in Coffman Union on September 22 at 1 p.m. Free Gopher T-shirt for the first 1,500 students to register and students can also win lunch with the President!


GLBTQ Ally Training 101 - National Coming Out Day Session

In Ally Training 101, attendees leave the training with newfound awareness and concrete steps they can take to help make our campus and larger communities more welcoming and affirming for everyone. These sessions are free and open to the public. Educational materials and Ally stickers/buttons will be provided as well as free food (including vegan and gluten-free options).
