Tutors needed at Battle Creek Middle School
Battle Creek Middle School is looking for volunteers ages 16 and up to spend at least one hour a week during the school day assisting a student to improve their math and literacy skills. Work alongside a teacher with one or two students that are struggling. Tutors are supported by a St Paul Public School Foundation volunteer coordinator.
Gift Cart Attendant
The Women's General Auxiliary to Shriners Hospital for Children in Minneapolis need Gift Cart attendants Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings 10:00 a.m - 2:00 p.m. to sell gift items to hospital visitors. May work one or more shifts. 1-2 people per shift is welcome.
Free Arts Mentors
Free Arts Minnesota offers individual opportunities which place volunteers at one of 30 partnering organizations across the metropolitan area. Serve on a mentor team with 3 to 5 other volunteers and provide one hour per week of creative arts activities to children. Mentors must make a one year commitment. Training and on-going support provide by Free Arts Minnesota.

Domestic Animal Care Volunteer
The Wildcat Sanctuary in Sandstone needs volunteers to help clean and provide enrichment for domestic cats and dogs. Volunteers will be trained and shadow staff members on all procedures. Requires dedication, rabies vaccination, 1 year commitment, and ongoing training to become familiar with the animal and their requirements at the Sanctuary.
Volunteer Expo Set Up Team
Volunteer at the seventh annual HandsOn Twin Cities Volunteer Expo in Bloomington from 7:15 am to 10:00 am on Saturday, February 18, 2012! Help set up the booths and signage. Assist participating non-profit agencies with carrying supplies and set-up when they arrive at Mall of America. This is a physically active volunteer opportunity, and great for groups!
Other Volunteer Opportunities
Provide a Saturday or Sunday evening meal for shelter guests, staff, and volunteers at St. Stephen's Human Services in Minneapolis. Plan, purchase, prepare and serve a meal for 50-55 people. Prepare meals offsite and arrive at 7:00 for serving at 7:15 or 7:30 with cleanup afterwards. A group of 4-6 people is best, 10 is the max. Try once and then commit to 3-6 more.
Interpreter of Career Assessment Results
WomenVenture in St Paul is seeking a volunteer familiar with career development processes. Deliver interpretations of: MBTI Step II, Strong Interest Inventory, and Strengths Finder. Experience required; if interpreting MBTI, need to be certified. Three to four month commitment - at least twice a month. Daytime or evening hours. No weekend times.
Neighborhood Family Partner
The Neighborhood Family Partner (NFP) Program matches volunteers with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity families to help new homebuyers become successful homeowners. This is a commitment of one year or longer to provide advice on home ownership. Must visit the family four times to complete a questionnaire and maintenance reminder checklist provided by Habitat.

Volunteers of America of MN -- RSVP/Experience Corps in Minneapolis seeks a Clerical Assistant to proof, edit, and print newsletters. Run Access reports and create spreadsheet summary reports. Other duties as needed. Must be 18 and have strong MS-Office skills, be able to read and write English, and have reliable transportation.
