Warm Weather Volunteer Opportunities:

Carousel Operator
Volunteers at Cafesjians Carousel in St Paul work on and around the carousel. They operate the machine, greet & assist visitors, sell tickets & gifts, and share historic carousel information. Volunteers ensure a fun and safe time for all. Shifts during the week and weekends.

General Office Help
Want to make a difference in the lives of rescued horses and youth, then Lost Creek Ranch in Ellsworth WI needs you! They are looking for an organized, animal-loving person to help with various administrative tasks: office work, mailings, database updates, phone inquiries, Craigslist etc. Some of these duties can be performed from one's home office.

Horse Leader for Therapeutic Riding
Majestic Hills Ranch in Lakeville needs people that enjoy working outdoors with horses and small farm animals as well as assisting children and military veterans. May through October. Horse experience is required for leading. Program training is provided before starting.

One to One Volunteer Opportunities:

Visitor
Develop a one to one relationship with an elderly resident of Presbyterian Homes & Services: Lake Minnetonka Shores in Spring Park who is lonely and has no family. 1-2 hours per week. Training is provided. Minimum age for volunteers is 14.

Lunch Buddy
Volunteer with Kaposia and make your lunch break a rewarding experience for yourself and for a person with a disability by being a Lunch Buddy in Roseville or Golden Valley! A Lunch Buddy is assigned to one person to converse, share a meal, and assist as necessary with serving and clean up once a week. Please bring your own bag-lunch.

Refugee Mentor
Work with Lutheran Social Service, Refugee Programs (LSS) of Minneapolis to help newly arrived refugees from places like Burma, Bhutan or Somalia to become better acquainted with their new home in Minnesota. Meet with your match three times per month for their first three months. Male mentors are in high demand right.

The Aliveness Project serves people with HIV/AIDS and needs volunteers to assist with food prep, set-up, serving and clean-up. Saturdays, 9:30 to 1:30 in Minneapolis.

Manicure
Catholic Eldercare needs volunteers to do manicures which include: removing polish, soaking and filing nails and re-polishing in Minneapolis.

Job Development and Volunteer Service Specialist(Americorps Vista)
Goodwill/Easter Seals Minnesota has 2 AmeriCorps VISTA positions open. One each in St Paul and St Cloud. These positions will focus on increasing capacity in employment and volunteer related services for participants with criminal backgrounds. Includes monthly living allowance, health care benefits, and educations award or stipend.

Volunteer With The Dancing Heart
Kairos Dance Theatre is seeking volunteers for their Dancing Heart workshops in Minneapolis, Saint Paul, Bloomington, Burnsville, Red Wing and Lake City. People who enjoy creative collaboration, love to laugh, and enjoy dance or music theater storytelling and are able to work with older adults, some with physical disabilities and/or memory loss. Requires background check and training.
