One-time, fun & easy ways to give back
Kowalski's Volunteers Needed:
Volunteers needed for 2-hour shifts on August 18 and 19. Shifts available include: August 18th: 10:00am-12:00pm (3 volunteers needed), 12:00-2:00pm (3 volunteers needed), 2:00-4:00pm (2 volunteers needed), and 4:30-6:00pm (3 volunteers needed). August 19th: 10:00am-12:00pm (2 volunteers needed), 12:00-2:00pm (3 volunteers needed), and 2:00-4:15pm (3 volunteers needed).
Saint Paul Farmer's Market:
Volunteers are needed to help collect unsold produce from the farmers to bring back to Neighborhood House food shelf on Sundays 12:30-2:30pm: August 5th,12th, September 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, October 28th . You bring muscles, they bring everything else.
Weekly Opportunities
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday Morning Food Shelf Volunteers Needed 9:00am-12:00pm
Help their participants shop for the culturally appropriate food they need and stock food on shelves as necessary. Start mid-August to help with summer volunteer transitions. Under 14 with adult.
Have Yet to Use your Spanish this Summer?
The Neighborhood House adolescent tutoring program has a 15 year old looking for help learning Spanish for the rest of the summer. 1.5 hour/week commitment for August. Tutoring can be scheduled between 2:00pm and 6:00pm weekdays. 18+
Youth Volunteer Needed for Kids Connect Fridays
Volunteer with youth grades 1-6. Activities include arts and crafts, sports, cooking, movie nights, and more! Must be 18+
Great for Groups
5 Volunteers Needed to Fill Marketing Brochures
Help fill marketing folders with flyers about Neighborhood House's programs. Flexible timing, can be done as an onsite volunteer project. Project should be completed in 1-2 hours.
