One-to-One Volunteer with Amicus:
Amicus matches volunteers to inmates at metro area prisons for friendship and positive relationship building. They match men to men and women to women and need dependable, open-minded volunteers. One year commitment with one visit per month. Must submit to background check and attend 3 hours of training in Minneapolis.
Bible Study Leader/Helper:
Have a fun time with Presbyterian Homes & Services of Bloomington residents and learn more about the Bible. Any faith is welcome! This can be done in a group or one to one with a resident.
Enjoy Reading? Volunteer to Read for Others:
Vision Loss Resources needs you to help a visually impaired person remain independent by reading with them in their home, for 1 to 2 hours once or twice a month. Materials ranging from mail to magazines, newsletters and newspapers. Flexible hours and reimbursement for travel expenses is available. Volunteers needed in the south and east metro.

Like Art? Like Kids? Be an Arts Mentor Today:
Free Arts Minnesota offers individual opportunities which place volunteers at one of 30 partnering organizations across the metropolitan area. Serve on a mentor team with 3 to 5 other volunteers and provide one hour per week of creative arts activities to children. Mentors must make a one year commitment. Training and on-going support provided by Free Arts Minnesota.
Volunteer with the Dancing Heart:
Kairos Dance Theatre is seeking volunteers for their Dancing Heart workshops in Minneapolis, Saint Paul, Bloomington, Burnsville, Red Wing and Lake City. People who enjoy creative collaboration, love to laugh, and enjoy dance or music theater storytelling and are able to work with older adults, some with physical disabilities and/or memory loss. Requires background check and training.

ReStore Merchandise Assistant:
The Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a retail outlet in New Brighton for new and like-new building materials. Volunteers assist ReStore staff by greeting customers, answering the phone, answering questions, assisting with purchases, and maintaining a clean and attractive store. Tuesday - Friday from 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm.
Animal Care Crew:
Help wild animals recover from injuries or illnesses! Assist with cleaning cages and feeding animals. Learn the husbandry behind wildlife rehabilitation at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota in Roseville. Choose one shift: Sun-Sat, AM or PM. Shifts are typically 4 hrs in length.
The volunteer receptionist position is an opportunity for a retired person/s who is looking to assist the Alzheimer's Association in Edina manage their reception area. Fill in for their regular receptionist during her lunch break two to five days a week. They are seeking two year general office or related experience. Training will be provided.
Compassion Fatigue Discussion Group Facilitator:
At Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley, the mission is to engage the hearts, hands and minds of the community to help animals. Volunteer as a Compassion Fatigue Group Facilitator and support the emotional aspect of working in animal welfare through small group facilitated sessions. Must be 21, LSW, LGSW or similar licensure preferred.
State Fair Staffer:
Volunteer with Memorial Blood Centers and greet and educate fairgoers in Falcon Heights about the importance of blood donation. Assist with blood typing.
