Obama Nomination

As most of you know, Obama came to St. Paul, Minnesota on Tuesday the 3rd. My friends and I went and stood in line for a very long time, and at the end of the night when he actually spoke, I was only three people away from the stage! Although at speeches like this, politicians tend not to say anything of substance but statements one might hear at a pep talk. What he said was very uplifting and made many of us feel all happy inside. It was a very powerful thing to be there the night the first Black American became the official nominee for the Democratic party!

There comes a time to be realistic and a time to be optimistic. Currently, regardless of whether you support Hillary, Obama, or are perhaps green or independent party, it is imperative that we all band together to keep McCain out of office. All the bad political dreams you have, McCain will probably set them into reality. Let us create an atmosphere where we can move forward even if it is only a little bit.

Photos to come when uploading stops being finicky!
