Mall Of America expanded restrictions on the hours teens can be in the mall without supervision to include all hours of Black Friday, Star Tribune reports.
Mall Of America (MOA) will not allow those under the age of 16 to be without the supervision of an adult, age 21 or older, on Black Friday, or during the week between Christmas and New Years Day.
Bridget Jewel, spokeswoman for MOA, said the mall experienced an influx of teens at the mall during these times last year.
"We don't it to turn to a place for people to come and hangout." said Jewel.
Every store at MOA will be open at 6 a.m. Friday, except Nordstrom, which decided to open at 9 a.m.
"We just like the idea of celebrating one holiday at a time," a sign at Nordstrom explains.
