Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies Minor

The University of Minnesota offers a Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies (CRES) Minor for students who have an interest in relating issues of race and ethnicity to their major areas of research and study. A collaboration of the African American Studies, American Indian Studies, Asian American Studies, and Chicano Studies departments and program, the CRES minor allows students to learn how to address social, institutional, and cultural inequalities challenging historically underrepresented groups in the United States and examine race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, class, and other categories of difference affect power relations in our society. For more information, see the CRES minor website.
