         <title>Chapter 1</title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p>Chapter 1 gave a good definition of what an argument is.  I found the chapter helpful and full of good examples, especially the one about Gordon Adams and his argument to skip out of college algebra!  I also liked the section about Socrates and his contrasting view of the Sophists.  Chapter 1 taught me that the goal of an arguement is is to seek truth, not just to win.</p>
