Phishing Emails

There has been a rise in the number of Phishing email scams looking for personal information. As a reminder, the University will never ask for your user ID or password, and you should never reply to ANY email request asking for that information. The University's Office of Information Technology offers additional tips on safe computing and guarding yourself from email scams.

If you get an email requesting information about your University ID or password, please forward to Phishing@umn.edu.  You can also contact the Extension IT Help Desk at 612-624-6700 with any questions or concerns.
