OIT Launches a New Online Survey Tool: UMSurvey

On August 26, the University's Office of Information Technology officially launched UMSurvey, an academic online survey tool which is available to current students, staff, and faculty at the University of Minnesota. The tool is self-service, so users can create and publish surveys on their own. It is free of charge, ad-free and assures data integrity and security.  It will be supported centrally by the UMSurvey specialists at OIT Services. For more information on how to use and access the tool, and best practices for survey research, visit the UMSurvey website.

Extension will continue to maintain its central SurveyMonkey account at least through May 2010-the end of our current contract.  After that date if Extension decides to replace SurveyMonkey with UMSurvey, we will develop a migration plan and work with current SurveyMonkey users to move to the new system.
