The Equity, Diversity, Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action policy has recently been revised and approved by the Board of Regents. The policy, which was formerly two policies - Diversity, Equal Employment and Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity -- was submitted for a series of reviews and merged into one document. The new policy incorporates language that protects individuals from discrimination and harassment based upon their gender identity and gender expression. This change is important as it reflects the protections that are available under Minnesota law.
As a result of the policy change, the language of the Equal Opportunity Statement has been revised. Be sure to incorporate the revised statement on all Extension publications and materials.
