Open Benefits Enrollment for 2010

Extension staff with federal benefits: You will receive detailed information about the upcoming 2010 Federal Benefits Open Season (November 9 through December 14) via email. While you may not be planning to make any changes, we strongly encourage you to review your plan's 2010 brochure to learn of any changes in coverage.

Employees with federal benefits may enroll in the University dental and/or flexible spending accounts benefits. A new election is required by November 30 if you want to participate in the flexible spending accounts for 2010. University Benefits Enrollment can be completed online from November 1-30. 

Extension staff with University benefits: Open enrollment for University benefits begins November 1 and continues through November 30. This is the one time each year when you can make changes to your University health plan coverage.

·         Unless you decide to choose a different plan, your medical and dental plans will stay the same for 2010.

·         A new election is required if you want to participate in the flexible spending accounts for 2010.

·         You can add or increase the amount of long-term disability if you are a civil service or represented staff employee.

·         Provider directories are available for viewing in Extension Human Resources, 260 Coffey Hall.
