Extension's Grant Management

Last fall, Dianne Sivald was hired as grants manager for Extension to provide oversight for the entire grants process, from proposal preparation through project management and final closeout.  Before coming to Extension, Dianne managed state and federal grants for Minnesota Public Radio.

Dianne provides guidance to Extension faculty and staff in the preparation and submission of grant proposals and budgets. To initiate the grant proposal process, Extension faculty and staff should contact Dianne as early as possible to ensure there is adequate time to prepare a high-quality proposal with an accurate budget, comprehensive supporting documentation and necessary approvals.

Dianne will also monitor Extension's grant projects for compliance with state, federal, University and funder policies, with the goal of setting a high standard of accountability to the University and to funders.

If you are planning to prepare a grant proposal, a pre-proposal or a sub-award proposal, please notify Dianne at or 612-626-4554.
