Most funders require additional supporting information at the time a grant application is submitted. This information can be time consuming to organize and assemble when trying to meet a funder's deadline. This necessary information includes:
- Curricula vitae (CV) for lead project personnel;
- A list of all other grants the applicant is working on (including the names of funders, the names of lead project personnel, and the project start and end dates); and
- A list of the applicant's non-grant collaborative projects and publication co-authors (needed to quickly identify potential conflicts of interest).
To reduce the stress of meeting funder application deadlines, always keep this information up to date and readily accessible so it can be easily inserted into a funder's application forms.
