University Vice Presidents Pfutzenreuter and Mulcahy have identified three key areas as targets for improving the University's Enterprise Financial System (EFS). One target is financial reporting enhancements. (This refers to UMReports and is not related to the web reports accessed through the Extension finance website.) A Reporting Work Group has been established and charged to coordinate a series of listening sessions in which you will have the opportunity to share existing or new financial data and reporting requirements. We encourage all interested staff to participate in one of the scheduled sessions listed below (seating will be limited by room capacity):
- Monday, January 24, 3-5 p.m., 402 Walter Library (room capacity - 92)
- Thursday, January 27, 1-3 p.m., G 55 Peik Gym (room capacity - 94)
- Tuesday, February 1, 9-11 a.m., 355 Borlaug Hall, St. Paul (room capacity - 182)
A separate session is being set up for faculty on the Twin Cities campus in mid-February and an additional (non-travel) option is being developed for staff located outside of the Twin Cities. If you are unable to attend one of the listening sessions above and would like to participate, a survey will be made available beginning Thursday, January 20. Further communication regarding the additional sessions and survey will be sent out in the near future.
At the conclusion of the Listening Sessions, the reporting work group will work to prioritize the list of reporting issues/needs based on participant input. This final document will serve as the financial data and reporting requirements.
