In recent months, Extension staff have experienced sporadic issues with attaching files in Gmail from network locations (i.e. Active Directory shared drives) in both Chrome and Internet Explorer (IE). Google is aware of this issue and they are working to resolve it. Until Google creates a universal solution to this issue, Extension IT has identified some interim solutions that you can try:
- Use a different internet browser; if it doesn't work in Chrome try Internet Explorer or FireFox.
- Drag and drop attachments.
- Save the file to the desktop and add them through the "Attach a file" link in the email.
