The University goes to great lengths to prevent unauthorized access to information such as your email and personal records, and for that reason, internet passwords (i.e., x.500 passwords) are set to expire one year after the password is set. Every year you will receive an email notification from the University requiring you to change your University Internet password. When you receive the email, be sure to follow the instructions to update your password by the deadline indicated (usually within one week of receiving the notification).
As a reminder, the University will never ask for your user ID or password, and you should never reply to ANY email request asking for that information. Always go to the University account website to change your University password. For questions, contact the IT helpline at 612-624-6700.
