Tourism Center Celebrates National Tourism Week

Tourism is a key economic sector in Minnesota, the United States, and the world.  The University of Minnesota Extension's Tourism Center is celebrating National Tourism Week with a poster session on Tuesday, May 10, 10:30 a.m. - noon at the St. Paul Student Center, Minnesota Commons Room. All Extension staff are invited to attend.  You'll meet University personnel involved with tourism research and education. They'll present their work and discuss the tourism industry, which generates $950 billion in the world and $9.2 billion annually in Minnesota.  All who attend will receive a Mall of America Super Savings Coupon Book ($9.95 retail value) and Nickelodeon Universe Mystery Ride ticket ($6.00 minimum value; both are available while supplies last). Further, you can enter to win prizes including a Mall of America Fun package valued at $400!
