Recovery after Disaster: the Family Financial Toolkit is a comprehensive online resource that will help families that have been affected by a disaster answer questions like: "Where do I start?" "How am I doing financially?" "Where will I live?" Developed by University of Minnesota Extension in partnership with North Dakota State University Extension Service and Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, the toolkit is based on methods that worked for families who experienced floods in Rushford (2007) and the Red River Valley (2009). The toolkit discusses strategies and provides tools that can help families move along the road to financial recovery.
A national webinar is taking place for Extension staff on June 7, 1-2:30 p.m., to review the toolkit and other resources available through national Extension Disaster Education Network (EDEN). For more information and to join the webinar, visit the Family Financial Toolkit website.
