Citing Social Media in Research Materials

Social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter and blogs have become a valuable resource for Extension as they make it easier to connect and communicate with our most important stakeholders in a timely matter. Social media is also contributing to the research being done by and for Extension and it is becoming more common to reference influential tweets or posts in a research paper or blog. The question is, "what is the correct way to cite social media quotes?" Read my blog to view current APA and MLA format guides for citing any tweets, Facebook items or blogs that are used in research materials.
