Extension Children, Youth & Family Consortium hosts a yearly seminar series called Lessons from the Field. These seminars engage community and University clinicians, community leaders, and researchers in dialogues that close the research-practice gap. The series aims to strengthen children's mental health practice and policy by promoting use of evidence. This year's events will be broadcast live from McNamara's Johnson Hall to sites throughout Minnesota via video stream and interactive television.
Registration is available for October 18 seminar, "Generational and Historical Trauma: Significance and Response," with a primary focus on trauma from the perspective of American Indians and African Americans.
