Use Extension Icons for Social Media Accounts

In the world of social media, your graphic icon follows you everywhere your posts, tweets, re-tweets, etc. go. Using the Extension icon for official Extension social media accounts is vital in helping people find your page and understand that your program/office is part of University of Minnesota Extension, building strength and support for Extension programs across the state.

The Extension social media icon is a professionally designed profile graphic that fits the size requirements for social media icons and includes Extension identifiers and placeholder text for a program, county or office name (as well as the clover for the 4-H version). You can request an icon for new and existing social media accounts through the Extension social media start-up form.

Also, in case you haven't noticed, Facebook is in the process of switching all existing accounts over to its "Timeline" template and requiring all new accounts to use it as well. Visit the Extension intranet to read tips about Facebook Timeline and how your Extension Facebook page can benefit from this new setup.
