Extension and ECHO Create Multilingual Nutrition Program Airing on tpt in November

Regular exercise and eating nutritious foods decrease the risk for diabetes, obesity and other diseases. To help Minnesotans learn more about eating healthy and becoming more active on a budget, Extension's "Simply Good Eating" program collaborated with Emergency, Community, Health, and Outreach (ECHO) Minnesota to produce a 30-minute television program in four languages (Spanish, Hmong, Somali and basic English).

These videos, in addition to educational materials currently being developed in each language, will help support Extension health and nutrition programming across the state with some of Minnesota's underserved populations.

"Active Living and Healthy Eating on a Budget" will air on tpt's Minnesota Channel and local access stations across Minnesota during the month of November.  Read the news release, or view the videos online and see the tptMN broadcast schedule on Extension's nutrition website.
