Work

Work is something that nobody wants to do but must to keep things going. I have worked in a family-owned factory with big presses and heavy machinery since I was fifteen. I spend ten hours a day standing in front of a machine press that stamps out parts and seems to try and make me go deaf. I put a part in, the machine hits it, and I take a part out. That is what I do ALL DAY; ten hours a day, five times a week. This monotonous work is something that I don't plan on doing all my life because it is extremely boring and taxing on the body, and doesn't pay well enough for me to want to stay in it. This job is why I plan on graduating from college so that I can use my head and my knowledge to do less physical work and more thinking work. I really don't care to be a robot moving metal around all day for the rest of my life, risking my limbs and health.....

Liberty in media

I believe that the media today has all the freedom they need. I just wish that they would show more about the things that really matter in this country, for instance the war in Iraq. I realize that they can't show all of the devestation as they did in Vietnam, but they could at least show us some of the things that are going on over there. There are a lot of people in this country that would like to see what is actually going on over there, and to see what who exactly we are fighting for.

TV show: Prison Break

Have any of you ever seen the show Prison Break? It seems to me like after the first 22 episodes of the first season they would just be done with the show but I guess not. They are already 7 episodes into the second and I can't believe that they can keep this up for long. It seems like every episode is just leading up to the final. I love the show, but I just hate the fact that when it comes down to it, it can't be one of those great shows that lasts multiple seasons. Maybe if they had a spinoff of some type they could kind of keep the characters on it going in some way, but the only possibility right now is that it's going to end with each person either dying or moving on with their life. They can't be chased forever and still keep it interesting, they're gonna run out of characters and plausible exciting ideas for the convicts to solve.
