GIS and Transportation Tech Forum

GIS and Transportation
On Thursday, January 29th, our next Tech Forum, GIS and Transportation, will be hosted by the Hennepin County Transportation Planning group from 9:00 to 11:00.

Leading off our discussion will be Robert Beyers, who will demonstrate several ways that Hennepin County is utilizing GIS for transportation planning. Bob will be followed by a representative from ESRI who will demonstrate ArcLogistics, a routing and scheduling tool for fleet management. Terese will follow with a discussion of linear referencing - what it is and how it can be used to map and analyze features such as roads, rivers and pipes.

Our tech forums are free and open to the public. They run for 90 minutes in the morning and are hosted by one of our GIS friends. They are a great way to learn something new, make contacts with your peers, and enjoy a morning away from the boss.

Seating for this Tech Forum is limited, so you must register at http://rowekamp.com/Tech_Forum.htm to ensure yourself a spot.

We're always looking for good hosts for our Tech Forums. If you can help, please send us an e-mail.
