Transportation Career Expo: February 5, 2009

On behalf of the Center for Transportation Studies at the University of Minnesota, we ask for your help in bringing the Annual Transportation Career Expo to the attention of your students. The expo will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Coffman Student Union in the Presidents Room. The event is free and open to students who would like to hear more about transportation related careers, learn how to prepare for securing their first job, and connect with potential employers.

The program is as follows:

4:15 Registration (Coffman Union, Presidents Room)
4:30 - 6:00 Panel and Q/A discussion
6:00 - 7:15 Exhibitor reception/networking
7:15 Adjorn

The Career Expo will provide opportunities for your students to network with eager engineering, transportation policy & planning, intelligent transportation systems and logistics professionals. The panel will consist of transportation professionals from various disciplines discussing their career experiences, strategies, and opportunities. The Expo concludes with an exhibitor reception (including food!). Students are encouraged to bring their resumes and drop them off at the registration desk.

We hope you encourage your students to attend and also include the Career Expo as a highlight in your course.

Please note-students may participate in all or part of the expo, but we do ask them to pre-register if possible.
