Jenny--This statement's brevity and rhetorical emphasis work well. I like also the integration of writing INTO some key course objectives.
When you describe writing in international relations as a tool used to "communicate with an intended audience for a specific purpose," I wonder whether you might provide some examples to drive the point home for those who are not so loyal to the words "purpose and audience" as I am?
