Mim & Downtown Minneapolis

Finally the finals passed. It was of course a very tough time, but they are gone now. Since I arrived late I had no choice but taking some classes that I really have never been exposed to their subjects. I had two art of India and it was a real hard time working on them through the semester. I finally made a column of A-'s in my transcript. Three A-'s for "Redefining Tradition: Art of India 400-1300?, "Diversity of Tradition: Art of India 1200-2000? and "Print and Print Culture in Early Modern Europe?, which the latter course basically changed my traditional view of Early Modern Europe and it was a really good experience. After what many of my friends and my professor in Iran said, I feel now that it was a good achievement for the first semester for an international student who was basically new to the way that academia is in the US and also to the shift to English language as the primary language of all courses.
Earlier in this blog I talked about my research paper for the Print course as a never-ending agenda. Now it is finished!!! I will try to upload it here as soon as I find a little spare time. Right now I am busy working with Professor Robert B. Silberman on my collaborative research project, and also busy exploring Downtown Minneapolis with M! (This reminds me of Mim in "Derakhte Golabi? aka The Pear Tree.)
