Last year's number one recruit and ACC Freshman of the Year Harrison Barnes will not enter this years NBA Draft and will return to school.
Barnes' commitment comes after UNC stars John Henson and Tyler Zeller decided to return to school, according to ESPN.
Barnes was projected in most mock drafts to be selected early in the first round, according to Sports Illustrated.
UNC will also be brining back last years starting guards Kendall Marshal and Dexter Strickland. The Tar Heels will also be bringing in one of the nation's top recruiting classes next year, with standouts James McAdoo and P.J. Hairston leading the class.

Woman Killed in Edina House Fire

A house fire in Edina on Monday killed a woman who lived there with her family.
Cynthia Robb, 54, of Edina was found near the front entrance of her home, according to the Pioneer Press.
Her husband and two daugters were not at home at the time.
It is not yet determined how the fire was started, but it was not believed to suspiscious, according to the Star Tribune.
The home had four fire alarms, and this fire is why Fire Cheif Marty Scheer believes that houses should have fire sprinklers.

Anoka County Inmate dies 2 Days after Attempted Suicide

And Anoka County Jail inmate died Saturday at Mercy Hospital In Coon Rapids after being found hanging from bedsheets in his cell on Thursday.
Steven James Carrol, 27, of Anoka was found hanging by bedsheets from his cell window on Thursday, according to the Star Tribune
Carrol had been in custody since April 12 for second degree burglary and disorderly conduct, according to the Pioneer Press..
He had a suicide note in his pocket. His death is under investigation.

LA Times Wins Pulitzer Prize for Exposing Big Salaries

The Los Angeles Times won two Pulitzer Prizes on Monday for public service for stories uncovering shocking financial corruption in the City of Bell, and the other for Photographer Barbara Davidson.
Davidson won in the feature category, according to the Los Angeles Times. She recorded photos of the aftermath of violent crime for victims and their families.
Since 1941, the Los Angeles Times has won 41 Pulitzer Prizes.
Davidson had to persuade her editors that the images were relevant because they were taken when crime was in decline, according to the New York Times.
The other award was given to John Gottleib, Rueben Vives, and other reporters for their reporting on Bell officials secretly giving themselves large benefits.

Thousands Rally for funerals of Slain Protesters

More than 10,000 people occupied the central square of the Syrian city of Homs on Monday, for funeral processions of the 14 people who were killed the day before.
Early on the mourners offered traditional prayers, turned into aggressive chanting. Security officials fired into the air but the crowd did not disperse, according to the New York Times.
As of Monday, as many as 25 people had been killed in Homs, and more than 30 around the country, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Syrians continue to protest president Bashar-Al-Assad.

Judge orders NFL and Players to try Mediation Again

A Minnesota Judge ordered the NFL and the Players on Monday to begin mediation again, starting Thursday.
The players got their wish with the talks taking place in federal court in Minnesota rather than the collective bargaining setting that failed last month, according to ESPN.
Federal Judge Susan Nelson ordered both sides to begin mediation again starting Thursday, according to Sports Illustrated.
Nelson also ordered that both sides keep the mediation confidential.

1 dead in Mobile Home Fire in Blaine

A fire in a mobile home in Blaine on Monday killed one man inside.
Firefighters responded to a call from the home around 1:50 in the morning, according to the Pioneer Press.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but it is not suspiscious, according to the Star Tribune.
Th identity of the man has yet to be released.The firefighters faught the fire for about two hours, and the damage to the mobile home is extensive.

Minnesota Lynx draft Superstar Maya Moore With first Pick

The Minnesota Lynx picked Connecticuit Huskey standout Maya Moore with the first overall pick in Monday's WNBA draft.
Moore, considered one of the greatest players in college basketball history, is a three time national player of the year and four time all american, according to the Pioneer Press.
Moore averaged 22.8 points for the Huskies this year and guided them to the final four. Moore won two national championships while at UCONN, according to the Star Tribune.
Moore is expected to be a franchise changing player. Lynx assistant coach compared drafting Moore to drafting Lebron James.
