Twins' new SEcond Baseman Tsuyoshi Nishioka will not need surgery on his leg, which was broken on Thursday when Yankee Nick Swisher slide into him while breaking up a double play.
Manager Ron Gardenhire said that the best case senario is that Nishioka will be out four to six weeks while recovering from the broken leg, according to ESPN.
Nishioka chrutched his way out to the baseline for Fridays Home opener and received a large ovation from the crowd, according to Sports Illustrated.
Nishioka was in his first year with the Twins after coming over from Japan In the offseason.
