Sarcasm
I would like to take this opportunity to tell people that this blog is laced with sarcasm.
I just responded to a comment written by Pete on my entry called "Haves and Have Nots." Here is what Pete had to say.
You must be a victim of the same downfall, as a human.
There are always disrespectful people in the world, not just at the University of Minnesota. You need to realize that not all people are selfish pricks; many people devote their lives to caring for those less fortunate. Yes, some will do it just to put it on their resumé, some will cut in front of lines, some will leave their computers without logging out, some will massacre millions of Jews. Unfortunately, that is the result of imperfect individuals living in an imperfect society in an imperfect world.
Deal. Personally, I would have told them off; they'll never learn unless you tell them society frowns on their actions.
And I responded.
Yes, telling them off would have been possibly the better choice. However, I would much rather talk about how much it bothers me in an online blog and not do anything to better society.
I am only writing this because I realize now that perhaps some people are not aware of my sense of humor. I am not saying Pete does not get it, but I realized that if someone was stumbling onto this site for the first time they might not get it.
