Gonna Be Some Changes Made

This math course I am enrolled in here at the U is not so bad, but I still feel like I will have some problems in it. I am not as worried about this course because I am taking it S-N instead of A-F, but I still need to pass it. To help me do this I am going to have Tony tutor me.

However, Tony tutoring me in math is not the reason this entry is called Gonna Be Some Changes Made. I have decided that the best way for me to concentrate on this math course, and school as a whole, is to quit my job at General Mills.

This is a big decision, and one I could still be talked out of. Again the benefits of working there are I can make my own hours, and it is great experience for me in my future career, whatever that may be. I do have another job that I could quit, Bonfire, however I make more money working there.

I pretty much made the decision yesterday when I went into work. I got out of class at 11:00 yesterday, then I had to wait for the bus, then the light rail to take me back to my car. I got back to my car at 12:00. Then I made my way to Golden Valley, but got stuck in traffic because of the construction on 62 and because of the rain.

I got to General Mills and up to my desk at 12:50. I need to leave General Mills at 2:00. I left at 2:20. Thats an aweful long drive to work for only an hour and a half two times a week. It hardly seems worth it for me to drive that far, and it doesn't seem fair to the people I work with that I am only available to them for such a short amount of time.

I have been at General Mills for almost 7 months now, not exactly a long time, but I think the experience will still look good on my resume, and I will still have made many, many contacts in the PR field.

Hey babe... Thanks for the lovely comment on my blog.
I'd hate to be in your situation. You make more at Bonfire, but the opportunities at General Mills may be beneficial to your future. Tough decision.
Anyway, thanks for throwing an idea out there for my birthday. We'll talk more soon! Love ya and hope you're having a wonderful week!!!
