For my obituary analysis, I used the following link, http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2012-08-07/news/chi-marvin-hamlisch-dies-20120807_1_special-music-schools-marvin-hamlisch-avant-garde-composers
The sources used in the story are other newspapers and an interview the deceased performed with the paper from 15 years earlier.
The obituary uses a standard lead, stating the subject's prime achievements and then their circumstances of death and age.
The news value came from the person's prominence. He played a large role and impacted the entertainment industry through multiple facets. The entire country was going to take interest in his passing.
The difference between a resume and an obituary is the injector of quotes and framing of who the person was in the obituary. In this obituary, the quotes from the deceased's past interview shows who he really was and what was most important to him

Jace, had a bad link to Chicago Tribune. Analysis was a little skimpy. Would have liked more thought put into the use of sources, etc.
