Notre Dame tops AP poll

For the first time since 1993, Notre Dame is atop the AP poll's college football rankings, the Chicago Daily Herald reported.
The Fighting Irish overtook Kansas State and Oregon in the rankings, who both lost on Saturday in upsets, the LA Times said.
The Irish are 11-0 for the first time since 1989, the Times reported. Alabama moved up to second in the rankings.
