Black Bear Club Meeting
The Black Bear 4-H club met at the LaMere residence May 6th. The club had been looking for ways to show our support to the family and Mandi said she needed help cleaning her mom's flower gardens. Vicki loved spending time in her gardens and often helped at the club's Heritage Garden in Nisswa so this was a perfect way for the club to give back.
Seven youth and seven adults raked leaves, removed dead foliage, and transplanted perennials in the garden. Shrubs were trimmed and many loads of leaves and debris were hauled.
The club furnished hot dogs and we had a great time socializing.This was a project that made us all feel good! We got to help Mandi and her dad and learned more gardening skills.
