Nov 24th SS/W PDC meeting

Minutes from the Nov 24th SS/W PDC meeting held at Mills Indoor Shooting Range 1:00-3:00 pm

We spoke about our upcoming year to include new instructors, our budget, wildlife events, and the state shoot.

If the Trailside in Pequot Lakes is available we will hold a wildlife day event from 10:00-2:30 on January 18th. We will hold a SS/W PDC meeting on January 18th at 9:00am as well.

Roger Schroeder, Jason Walkowiak, and Brent Pringle plan to take instructor training in the Spring of 2014.

We are looking at May 3rd at the Mountain Man Fort in Palisade to hold an all day event for our youth and adults in the SS/W project.

We plan to hold at least one fundraising event at the Pizza Ranch if a date is available.
We held our election of officers:

Nvoember Meeting, Daggett Brook 4-H Club

The Daggett Brook 4-H Club held their monthly meeting on November 11 at the new Daggett Brook Town Hall at the corner of highway 25 and county road 2.

Mary Emma Reeser on Ponies of America (POA's) breed of horses
Brook Reeser on her horses
Madison McKinney & Hayden Carlson on Horses

Elizabeth & Billie Studniski on project bowl

Demonstrations were given by:
Simon Nelson on Injections for cattle
Josh Studniski on measuring deer antlers

The meeting was called to order by President, Joshua Studniski. The secretary's report was read by Grace Studniski. Treasurer's report was given by Hannah Studniski. Roll call was taken to the question, "What is your favorite Thanksgiving food?" 60 members were present.

The club celebrated November Birthdays for Andrew Caughey, Anthony Hettver, Jamison Young, Michelle Zugschwert, Triston Kubista, Nathan Nash, Grace K. The club approved their 2013-14 budget. Denise Reeser report from the Horse Project Development Committee that there are new rules coming from the state they are learning about.

The Crow Wing County Horse Junior Drill Team was honored at the club meeting because the whole drill team is from our club and they placed at state. A reminder was given of the upcoming County Awards Program on November 17. A sign-up sheet was passed around to get help for serving refreshments at the Heartland Symphony concert on December 8.

Meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.

The next meeting will be held December 9 at the Daggett Brook Town Hall.

4-H Club Officer Training

Participants from Crow Wing and Cass Co clubs learned about their roles as President, Secretary, and Treasurer. They also learned about club meetings, Parli Pro, and the importance of being a leader in their club.
