Black Bear Club celebrates volunteers

Club Treats volunteers during Volunteer Week April 6-13

Seven members of the Black Bear 4-H club met to bake treats to give to volunteers. When done with the baking we talked about how this service-learning project made us feel.

Amber and Dana learned how to roll dough and had fun. Kelsi and Dalton thought if felt good to let volunteers know we appreciate them. Megan said, " It's important to thank volunteers and reward them for what they've done." Justine is in the Food project and said, "I liked passing on my skills to the younger members and helping them learn that putting time into rewarding others is the right thing to do." Morena felt good about making treats for volunteers and recognizing all they do for others.

Boxes of goodies were given to John Poston with Kids Against Hunger, volunteers at the Hospital, Mounted Eagles, and Pequot Lakes Library, and individuals Tina Foster and Terry Hansen from Nisswa.
