Visiting Artist Schedule Spring 2008

Tony Hepburn, Visiting Artist
Artist-in-Residence and head of the Ceramics Department at Cranbrook Academy of Art, Hepburn was educated at the Camberwell College of Art and London University. Before coming to Cranbrook he was Professor of Ceramics and head of the Division of Art and Design at the New York College of Ceramics at Alfred University. He has also taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Carnegie Mellon University, and was the Principle Lecturer at Lanchester University in Coventry, England.

Amy Youngs, Visiting Artist
An artist using electronics, kinetics, sound, insects, plants, and pixels to create art about the complex relationship between technology and our changing concepts of nature and self.

Matt Ryle, Visiting Artist
Visiting artist will be giving a lecture titled "from mud, a blade." There will be a screening of Matthew Barney's film, De Lama Lamina. Ryle is Matthew Barney's production designer for the Cremaster Cycle and on current projects. He is in charge of developing and executing all of Barney's work.
