Chinese jobs information--from Ian Burns

Dr Ian Burns, coordinator of Saint Paul Schools Chinese Articulation Project and secretary of the MN Association of Chinese Language Teachers, kindly provided these job information:

St. Paul Schools will be starting a K - 6 program in September of this year. If anyone is interested in this job they should contact, now,Kenyatta Carter in Human Resources at St.Paul Public Schools.I hope to be able to arrange some early preparation time payment for the successful applicant to assist me in curriculum development and preparation for a new program in the selected school.

We are also looking for a teacher to teach one hour a day at Highland Park Senior HIgh School, which is at the South end of Snelling Avenue in St.Paul. This teacher has usually been paid approximately $25 per hour for two hours a day - one hour teaching and one hour preparation. It could be asort of extended teaching practise with some pay and an introduction tolife in an American high school.

SPPS also are seeking a half time bilingual, Chinese/English technical person, approximate salary $19000 per annum, who should be someone with a degree in technology interested in assisting classroom teachers with the effective use of technology in Chinese language teaching.
