A report of a robbery of a Birmingham, Ala. home led to police finding five people dead inside, according to a Washington Post article.
Police received a call early Sunday morning stating that a robbery was taking place, and they found the victims after arriving on the scene around 3:30 a.m.
Birmingham Police believe there was more than one person responsible, and Police Chief A.C. Roper said, "It obviously appears to us this horrific crime was not a random act of violence."
The identities of the victims have not yet been released, however neighbor Beatrice Houston said she believes three people: a woman, her son and her brother lived there during the past year.
Houston also said "They never had any trouble over there. "I never seen the police over there. This was really strange that this happened. It wasn't like they were real rowdy."
According to alabamas13.com, the victims families will be notified before they will release their identities.
